Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Keep Reader (the “Service”), operated by Dayong Yu (“Keep Reader,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@keepreader.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others.
• Attempt to access the Service through automated means that bypass our rate limits or anti-abuse measures.
• Upload content you do not have the right to store or process, or content that is illegal, harmful, or infringing.
• Disrupt the Service, probe its infrastructure for vulnerabilities outside of a responsible disclosure context, or interfere with other users.
• Resell or redistribute the Service or its output without our written permission.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you add to Keep Reader — feeds you subscribe to, articles you save, notes you write, files you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

5. Subscriptions and payment

Keep Reader offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and there are no refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

Prices are listed on the pricing page and are subject to change with at least 30 days’ notice for renewals. Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required.

6. AI features and third-party services

Optional AI features (summaries, semantic search, topic clustering) send your content to third-party providers — OpenAI or Anthropic, depending on your settings. By using these features you authorise us to transmit the relevant content to those providers. We do not store your API keys in plaintext at rest. If you supply your own API key, that key is used and billed by the upstream provider directly.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or modify features for maintenance, security, or operational reasons, and we will give reasonable advance notice when we can.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay for a paid plan. You may terminate your account at any time from the in-app deletion flow at /delete-account/; doing so cancels any active paid subscription and permanently deletes your content as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated summaries are accurate or complete; do not rely on them as authoritative.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Keep Reader be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim under or relating to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Keep Reader against any claims arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the in-app inbox or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Keep Reader is operated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
